Ellen Kaye Fleishhacker is the Global Co-Chair of Arnold & Porter. A seasoned transactional lawyer and law firm leader, Ellen brings clear-headed and practical judgment and experience to help both clients and the firm address complex matters.
In her legal practice, Ellen co-leads the firm's Investment Management practice group. Her practice focuses on formation, compliance and transactional matters of private investment funds, including sophisticated real estate funds, venture funds, private equity funds, and impact investment funds. She also represents wealth advisory firms, family offices, and financial institutions on legal, compliance, and transactional matters. In addition, Ellen works with investors on structuring and negotiating potential investments in private funds, separate accounts, joint ventures, real estate partnerships, and other investment vehicles.
Ellen has been part of the firm’s top leadership since January 2021, when she became Co-Managing Partner, and has helped the firm to thrive as a place where clients can obtain world-class regulatory, litigation and transactional solutions for their most complex challenges. She has also supported and enhanced the firm’s deep commitment to excellence in the practice of law and client service, a commitment to collegiality and collaboration, a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture, and a dedication to pro bono service.
Ellen received her J.D. and MBA at the University of California, Berkeley.
