Stephanie Wright Pickett is a member of the Labor & Employment Group. She represents employers in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, with a particular focus on advising employers on sensitive and complex matters. Drawing on her in-house experience and work advising and representing top executives, Stephanie provides practical, business-focused counsel designed to prevent workplace problems and reduce litigation risk.
Stephanie advises clients on a wide range of employment issues, including wage-and-hour payment and compliance; hiring practices and pay transparency; worker classification; leave and accommodation; performance management, discipline, and termination; restrictive covenants; privacy rights; workforce restructurings; and personnel policies.
Additionally, Stephanie has extensive experience with the employment aspects of business transactions and workforce integration, which has sharpened her insight into how employment considerations intersect with core business objectives. She has advised on mergers, asset purchases, and spin-offs, and has worked on over 250 potential or closed transactions.
As a litigator, Stephane has represented businesses and public entities in individual and class actions involving wage-and-hour issues, discrimination, harassment, worker classification, wrongful termination, theft of trade secrets, violations of noncompetition agreements, and breaches of contract.
