M&A and Private Equity Attorney David Berg Joins Arnold & Porter in New York
New York, June 5, 2008 -- Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that David S. Berg has joined its New York office as counsel. He brings to Arnold & Porter significant public and private M&A experience, especially in the middle market.
“David has considerable experience in domestic and cross-border transactions, especially mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and financings, and his experience complements the broad strengths of the firm’s corporate practice in our transatlantic offices,” said Michael B. Gerrard, head of Arnold & Porter’s New York office. “David is skilled at structuring transactions, negotiating and drafting agreements, providing strategic transactional advice and supervising deal teams. He is a valuable addition to our corporate practice, where his M&A and financing experience will augment our existing capabilities.”
Mr. Berg has experience in a variety of industries, including investment management, consumer finance, leasing, specialty finance, paper products, media and telecommunications and aviation. He has represented sellers as well as buyers. He has a JD from the New York University School of Law, and holds a BA from Brown University.
