San Francisco Intellectual Property Litigator Ryan Casamiquela Joins Arnold & Porter LLP
SAN FRANCISCO, February 27, 2014 -- Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that Ryan Casamiquela has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property group in its San Francisco office.
Mr. Casamiquela brings a decade of experience litigating high-stakes patent cases across the country for industry leading clients. He has led the day-to-day litigation against claims in the hundreds of millions of dollars and against threats of industry-wide injunctions, obtaining successful results at trial and during motion practice. Mr. Casamiquela has been responsible for patent cases involving smartphones, tablets, wireless standards, networking equipment, server-side software and hardware, among other technologies. In addition to patent cases, Mr. Casamiquela has litigated matters involving trademark, copyright, antitrust counterclaims, and IP licensing. Mr. Casamiquela obtained his J.D. from the University of California Berkeley School of Law. In 2013, he was named a “Rising Star” in Northern California by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers.
