Arnold & Porter Advises SAIC In Its Agreement To Acquire Scitor Corporation

Washington, DC, March 2, 2015 -- Arnold & Porter LLP recently advised Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) on all aspects of its definitive agreement to acquire intelligence community consulting firm Scitor Corp. for $790 million.  The transaction is expected to close in May, 2015.

The multi-practice Arnold & Porter legal team representing SAIC was led by Kevin Lavin and David Dargatis, and included Rachel Baylis and Kevin O'Doherty.  Employee benefits issues were handled by Edward Bintz. Ronald Lee and Charles Blanchard addressed national security concerns, while Steven Diamond and Joan Ochs handled government contracts considerations.  Other members of the legal team included Richard Baltz (securities), Carey Smith (tax), David Valeck (finance) and Farrell Malone (antitrust).
