Carlyn Williams represents clients in complex corporate transactions. She has worked extensively with emerging growth companies, from formation to exit, and represented several private investors and venture capital funds making investments across a number of industries, including natural foods, life sciences, and medical devices, among others, with particularly deep experience in the high technology and life sciences sectors. Ms. Williams also represents both private equity firms and corporate clients in strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, equity investments, asset purchases and sales, and joint ventures.

  • Sanofi in its acquisition of Qunol, a U.S.-based market leading brand in health & wellness.
  • CS Wind, a Korea-based wind tower manufacturer, in its $150-million acquisition of one of the world’s largest tower manufacturing facilities and its associated US-based business from the Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S.
  • Oblong Inc., maker of multi-stream collaboration solutions (Nasdaq: OBLG), in its $12.4 million registered direct offering.
  • The AES Corporation in its strategic, corporate venture capital investment in Simple Energy, the leading provider of utility-branded marketplaces and customer engagement software.
  • BRX Transportation Holdings, a portfolio company of Related Infrastructure, Stephens Capital and Brookhaven Rail Partners, in its acquisition of Pioneer Railcorp.
  • Fleet Car Carriers in its sale to United Road Services, a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group.
