Janice Bashford brings more than 15 years of experience in building strategic partnerships across a range of issues to help clients navigate the legislative process. In her prior role as Legislative Director and Chief Counsel to Congresswoman Karen Bass, she played a key role in negotiating and advancing legislation and other initiatives on a range of issues, including judiciary, appropriations, foreign affairs, child welfare, civil and human rights, voting rights, immigration, health, labor, intellectual property and copyright, and the COVID-19 response.  

Janice also has worked closely with numerous key committees and groups, including the Ways and Means Committee, the Judiciary Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Bipartisan Women's Caucus, the Congressional Tri-Caucus (the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and the Congressional Asian-Pacific American Caucus), and the Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth.

Other senior leadership roles include working for Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and, earlier in her career, in staff positions for U.S. Senator John Kerry and on the field operations team of the 2008 Obama-Biden campaign.
