Carlyn Williams is an experienced deal maker, technology lawyer, and trusted advisor who works with companies throughout the lifecycle of their business. She has worked extensively with emerging growth companies, from formation to exit, and represented several private investors and venture capital funds making investments across a number of industries, including natural foods, life sciences and medical devices, among others, with particularly deep experience in the high technology sector. Ms. Williams also represents both private equity funds and corporate clients in mergers, stock and asset purchases and sales, and joint ventures.
Ms. Williams also guides companies in intellectual property and technology-based transactions, with experience drafting and structuring licensing, collaboration, software-as-a-service and other technology services agreements in a variety of industries, including gaming, enterprise software and cloud services.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Williams was an associate in the Colorado office of another international law firm. During law school, she served as the executive notes editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Williams worked as a research assistant studying the structure and assembly of papilloma and polyomaviruses.
