Arnold & Porter’s White Collar Practice Notches Three Veteran Prosecutors

Enforcement Edge: Shining Light on Government Enforcement

Upholding its reputation for attracting deep government talent, Arnold & Porter’s White Collar Defense & Investigations practice has landed an impressive trio of veteran women prosecutors.

Partners Deborah Curtis, Giselle Joffre, and Meredith Osborn will further strengthen our top-notch white collar and litigation capabilities across our Washington, D.C., Boston, and San Francisco offices, respectively.

Deborah Curtis most recently served as former Deputy General Counsel for Litigation and Investigations for the CIA. She has held an impressive array of senior U.S. government positions, including as Chief Counsel at the U.S. Department of Commerce, as a supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney and Deputy Section Chief at the U.S. Department of Justice, and as an Associate Deputy General Counsel for the Air Force. Resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, Deborah will focus on national security investigations and defense, and other litigation and enforcement matters, bringing further depth to the firm’s national security offerings at a time when there is a substantial increase in government enforcement related to national security.

Giselle Joffre is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. She also served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for the Middlesex District Attorney's Office in Massachusetts. Giselle brings over two decades of experience as both a defense attorney and federal prosecutor to her defense of life sciences clients facing criminal healthcare fraud charges and in False Claims Act investigations, litigation, and settlement negotiations. Resident in the firm’s newly opened Boston office, Giselle’s addition uniquely places Arnold & Porter as one of the few firms in Boston with the ability to offer a full range of practice area expertise to our life sciences clients, as well as its broader client base.

Meredith Osborn most recently served as San Francisco City Attorney’s Office Chief Trial Deputy. She was also an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California, an Enforcement Attorney with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and a policy advisor at the Department of Treasury. An accomplished litigator and trial lawyer, Meredith brings extensive civil and criminal litigation experience to her practice. Her arrival builds on Arnold & Porter’s recent additions on the West Coast that deepen our talented bench and bolster our product offerings.

Deborah, Giselle, and Meredith’s arrival deepens the firm’s government bench and bolsters our firm’s offerings in key regions, better positioning the firm to address our clients’ most challenging investigations and defense matters.
