Arnold & Porter Advises Armour Home on Sale of Alphason Designs to Dorel

Arnold & Porter advised UK-based Armour Home Electronics Limited (Armour Home) on the sale of its leading UK home office and TV furniture business, Alphason Designs, to Dorel Home, a division of Dorel Industries Inc. (Dorel).

Dorel acquired the assets and operations of Alphason and will integrate them into Dorel Home's existing Dorel Home Furnishings European division. The Alphason brand is well known in the UK and is sold at several large independent retailers across the country. The purchase provides Dorel Home, headquartered in Montreal, with a new base and distribution hub to serve its growing European business. Dorel Home is the third-largest residential furniture maker on the FDMC 300, a group of the 300 largest cabinet, furniture, millwork, store fixture, office/contract, and component producers in North America.

Arnold & Porter's London-based Corporate and Finance partner Jeremy Willcocks led the transaction. Corporate associates Benjamin Kieft and Joshua Reynolds also assisted as well as Henry Clinton-Davis on employment matters.
