Arnold & Porter Advises Institute for Integrative Nutrition in Transaction with Norwest Equity Partners
Arnold & Porter advised the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in a transaction with middle market investment firm Norwest Equity Partners (NEP). This transaction marks the first time Integrative Nutrition, a professional health coaching certification program, has partnered with an investor. The addition of Integrative Nutrition to NEP’s portfolio of active lifestyle and wellness brands will allow Integrative Nutrition to expand its course offerings, diversify its content and grow its global reach. The transaction closed on October 1, 2018.
Founded in 1992 by Joshua Rosenthal, Integrative Nutrition was once a small classroom of passionate students in New York City, and has since grown to be the largest health coaching school in the world, providing a global learning experience through its innovative online learning platform for approximately 100,000 students and graduates in over 150 countries worldwide. Integrative Nutrition’s holistic program teaches dietary theories as well as personal development philosophy, health coaching, and business skills through a well-regarded network of world-class educators and guest lecturers, including the world’s leading physicians, researchers, doctors, and nutrition experts.
The Arnold & Porter team was led by Corporate and Finance partners Mark Kingsley and Mel Cherney, with support from associates Shay Soltani and Sarah Wilhelm. The team also included partners Laurie Abramowitz and Jeff London, and associate Reuven Graber.
