Arnold & Porter Advises Norgine in Sale of Arc Medical Design Limited

Arnold & Porter's London office has advised Norgine, a leading European specialist pharmaceutical company, on its sale of Arc Medical Design Limited to Olympus Corporation (Olympus).

Olympus acquired Arc Medical Design and converted its current exclusive distribution rights of ENDOCUFF VISION™—a device attached to the distal end of a colonoscope than manipulates colonic folds to maintain and maximize the viewable mucosa during endoscopic therapy—to a full acquisition of the ENDOCUFF family of products. The deal closed on August 6, 2020.

The Arnold & Porter Corporate & Finance team included partners Jeremy Willcocks and Ewan Townsend and associate Tom Wilson. The Arnold & Porter team also included partner John Schmidt, who leads the firm's UK Competition group in London, and Intellectual Property associate Shishu Chen.
