Arnold & Porter Advises the Republic of Colombia on Record Bond Issue

Arnold & Porter recently advised Colombia on a dual tranche bond issue totaling US$3.8 billion, which was Colombia’s largest ever bond offering.

The transaction consisted of a dual-tranche bond and tender offering, including:

  • US$1.9 billion of 7.375% Global Bonds due 2030, and
  • US$1.9 billion of 8.500% Global Bonds due 2035.

Approximately US$350 million of the proceeds were used to fund the repurchase via tender offer of a portion of Colombia’s outstanding 4.500% 2026 Bonds.

The transaction was completed on April 25, 2025. The bonds have been listed on the Euro MTF Market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and the International Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange.
