Global Banking & Markets 2026 Recognizes Arnold & Porter in ‘Liability Management Deal of the Year’ and ‘Debt Deal of the Year — Colombia’ Awards
Arnold & Porter was recognized twice at the Global Banking & Markets Latin America & Caribbean Awards 2026 for the firm’s work advising the Republic of Colombia on two market-leading transactions:
- “Liability Management Deal of the Year” for a total return swap and related tender offer, in which the aggregate notional amount of the swap totaled the Swiss franc equivalent of US$9.3 billion, and
- “Debt Deal of the Year – Colombia” for the Republic’s €4.1 billion bond issue, the then largest ever issue of Euro-denominated bonds by a Latin American issuer.
Global Banking & Markets’ Deal of the Year awards recognize “the most innovative and ground-breaking deals from sovereigns, corporates and financial institution issuers.”
The liability management transaction was previously recognized at the LatinFinance Deals of the Year Awards, where it received “Sovereign Liability Management Deal of the Year.”
