The Legal 500 Latin America 2026 Recognizes Arnold & Porter Lawyers, Practices
The 2026 edition of The Legal 500 Latin America recognized six Arnold & Porter lawyers and six practice areas. The Legal 500 researches the global legal market using feedback from 300,000 in-house counsels and lawyers worldwide.
The guide distinguished partners Paolo Di Rosa, Patricio Grané Labat, and Gregory Harrington as “Leading Partners,” and partner Carlos Lobo and counsel Carlos Pelaez as “Next Generation Partners.” Partner Whitney Debevoise was named to the “Hall of Fame,” which spotlights “individuals who have received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence.”
The Legal 500 highlighted the firm’s impressive history in Latin America and noted that it “remains a leader in sovereign offerings” and “is widely recognised for sovereign finance, including the financing of major infrastructure projects, although it has greatly expanded and diversified its banking and finance practice in recent years.” The International Arbitration group again received a Tier 1 ranking and was referred to as being “firmly at the forefront of investor-state arbitration in Latin America.” The guide added that the firm’s “lengthy history in Latin America has provided a platform for a growing practice in energy and infrastructure” and it “brings its extensive expertise in FCPA and anti-corruption investigations, compliance, and white-collar cases to the region.”
